2026年8月1日（金）~3日（日）に行われた札幌・旭川でのゼミ合宿において，大河内研究室で取り組んでいる北海道旭川にある空き家化した銭湯「旭湯」再生のための設計案発表会を現地にて開催しました。
オーナー様にB4とM1の学生17名がそれぞれの設計案をプレゼンしました。昨年と異なる点は旭湯の脱衣所と浴室を展示空間に見立て，ポスターセッション形式のプレゼン方法を採用したことです。
昨年度の反省とスタジオ内でのリサーチから今年は「改修」を強く意識した提案が増え，これまでの設計スタジオとは異なった設計対象に苦悩する学生も多くいましたが，根気よく取り組んだ成果が当日の発表ではオーナー様に伝わったのではないでしょうか。
引き続き，オーナー様とコミュニケーションを取りながらPJを進めていきます！
Asahi-yu Revitalization Project: “FY 2026 Asahi-yu Renovation Proposal Presentation”
During the seminar retreat held in Sapporo and Asahikawa from Friday, August 1, to Sunday, August 3, 2026, the Okochi Laboratory hosted an on-site presentation of design proposals for the revitalization of “Asahi-yu,” a vacant public bathhouse in Asahikawa, Hokkaido.
Seventeen B4 and M1 students presented their respective design proposals to the owner. A key difference from last year was that we treated Asahi-yu’s changing rooms and bathing area as exhibition spaces and adopted a poster session format for the presentations.
Reflecting on last year’s experience and based on research conducted within the studio, there was an increase this year in proposals that placed a strong emphasis on “renovation.” While many students struggled with this design subject—which differed from previous design studios—we believe the results of their persistent efforts were conveyed to the owner during the presentations.
We will continue to move forward with the project while maintaining communication with the owner!
